Letterbox Love #25

Letterbox Love came about after some drama with the American book haul memes and a decision among the UKYA bloggers that we should have our own version. Hosted by Lynsey of Narratively Speaking.

Bought:

Daylighters - Rachel Caine (paperback)

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire Danvers and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated - - vampires from humans - they realise that the changes definitely aren’t for the better.

It seems that an organisation called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they’ve never had: hope of a vampire-free future. And while it sounds like salvation - even for the vampires themselves - the truth is far more sinister and deadly.

Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end…

The heart-stopping finale to the number one bestselling series.

The end is nigh. And I’m heart-broken at that fact. I’m not ready for it to end!

Johnny’s Girl - Paige Toon (e-novella)

Meg’s life has taken a turn for the perfect. She is the envy of millions with her drop dead gorgeous husband, their two beautiful sons and her new mansion in Henley. Her celebrity PA days are over. But desperate to keep up with her rock star husband, Johnny Jefferson, she uproots her perfect family and moves back to LA.

Meg has to learn to live with her new celebrity status and the insecurities of her old life, which keep reappearing. Under the paparazzi flash of an A-list party, complete with red carpet, champagne and canapés, Johnny’s rock star past catches up with him and Meg’s worst nightmare becomes a reality…

Oh man, I love Paige Toon…

Just One Year - Gayle Forman (paperback)

Twenty-four hours can change your life…

Allyson and Willem share one magical day together in Paris, before chance rips them apart.

The romantic, emotional companion to
Just One Day, this is a story of the choices we make and the accidents life throws at us.

But is one day enough to find your fate?

Yay! Loved Just One Day so I’m super excited for this.

  2. Yay for Daylighters, it was incredible - if a bit weird, but hey, it's Morganville and sense is not in abundance!
