On Sunday I fly to Greece for my first holiday in four years. I’m taking my little sister to a small island called Thassos that’s basically just beaches and pine forest. It’s going to be glorious.
My plans for the week include
swimming, reading, reading some more and swimming until I can’t move my legs
and then some more reading, or floating around the pool in a rubber ring with a
cocktail in my hand.
A week holiday with nothing to
do and no work to worry about leads me to a problem that I have been thinking
about since I paid for that holiday: how many books do I take? Paper or Kindle?
WHICH ONES?! But, I have made my decision. I think.
PAPER:
KINDLE:
Ambitious? Possibly. I do think I have a nice mixture
here, though: YA and adult; long and short; contemporary, thriller, paranormal, crime sci-fi and fantasy.
I can’t wait to get stuck into these beauties.
Have you read any of these?
Which should I start with? What are you/did you taking/take away with you this
summer?
Sophie
Great selection! I'm taking The Lemon Grove and The Cuckoo's Calling on my hols too :) Hope you have a wonderful time x
ReplyDeleteOoh, read Half-blood first, I want to know what you think! Have a great time, no matter how much you read - actually I think it would be perfectly acceptable if you just spend the entire week at the beach with cocktails :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a great selection! Maybe a little ambitious but it's always good to have choice! Love to know what you think of ... well, all of them!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any but am dying to read Heir of Fire and bought Cuckoo's Calling last month! And Afterworlds is sitting on my TBR somewhere too... :D
And on another note, I think you have a wonderful holiday Sophie and take some time to de-stress as I know life hasn't been easy. Have I mentioned lately how awesome and proud I am of you :)
All the love and hugs!

I hope you have a fantastic time Sophie! I'm really looking forward to reading both Half-Blood and Heir of Fire so I think you should read those first LOL. You have a great selection though so I hope you enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you have one of the paper books in your hand luggage though because last time I flew they made us turn our kindles off for take off and landing!
Yay, I hope you have an amazing relaxing time! Heir of Fire seems like a fabulous choice. I also think you should read Belzhar so you can tell me if its good :P Have fun!
