I was blown away by Laura’s debut a few years ago and I’ve devoured each of her subsequent releases with the same fervour. She hits you right in the heart and makes you think while she’s at it.

For Holly, Tanya Byrne

Headline, June

Tanya’s books dive into the darker side of UKYA and they’re are some of the best written books I’ve ever come across. I still catch myself thinking about her 2012 debut (Heart-Shaped Bruise) from time to time. She’s a keeper.

Remix, Non Pratt

Walker, June

As well as being a lovely person, Non is a crazy-good writer. She just gets the teen voice, their motivations and their humour. Trouble was in my top 3 of last year so I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on this.

Air, Lisa Glass

Cornwall, suffers and amazing ehroines, Blue had it all and was a surprise hit for me last year. Now with a film in the making, everyone should jump on the bandwagon before Air hits shelves this summer.
