I just couldn't finish it; it was very disappointing.

I don't tend to DNF books a lot because I read lots of brilliant ones but I do occasionally.

:)Lucy Powriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08449822423435674409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6086134026437451311.post-7809039784604632702013-06-20T15:46:27.709+01:002013-06-20T15:46:27.709+01:00I will often put down novels, only to return to th...I will often put down novels, only to return to them later. The one book I put down and have no intention of returning to is "If You Liked School, You'll Love Work" by Irvine Welsh. I did not hold connection to any of these stories and about 90% of his work was made up of Celtic slang and too much swearing. One story was about a guy who was on a road trip when he got bitten in the genitals by a rattlesnake and a gay friend of his had to get the venom out. Another was about a Korean chef who moves into the same apartment as a woman and then her dog goes missing.

I read a few others, but none of them were memorable. This is a book I would like to forget.Josh Caporalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12388877987189461463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6086134026437451311.post-90418414316522865562013-06-20T10:47:12.602+01:002013-06-20T10:47:12.602+01:00Great post! What I usually do is read a book for awhile, put it down and just not pick it up again. Happens all the time but I'm still thinking that I might pick those books up again at some point..Michelle Fluttering Butterflieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08793681725475475156noreply@blogger.com
