Sometimes I go on Sparknotes or something after I read a classic just to see what all the bits I couldn't figure out means:)Rachael Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02514196269781227190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6086134026437451311.post-68493560864973861112013-09-17T11:12:36.473+01:002013-09-17T11:12:36.473+01:00Oh I love this book so much. There's always so much more to discover on rereading it!Michelle Fluttering Butterflieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08793681725475475156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6086134026437451311.post-32150309247914775682013-09-17T09:27:59.647+01:002013-09-17T09:27:59.647+01:00I read it in school but re-read it recently. My me...I read it in school but re-read it recently. My memories of it from school were about the racism but my re-read saw a lot more to it like feminism and generally 'othering' people. Maybe Scout's views seemed older because she was telling the story retrospectively, as an adult. I loved it much more on my second and grown-up reading: I often find that lecturers and teachers try to lead you down exam (or their) agendas, and that might not always fit with your own readings. I think I thought Boo did it.Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05628601066057750860noreply@blogger.com
